2025 medians from CareScout (Genworth), Cost of Care Survey 2025, published March 2, 2026. The monthly nursing home cost is the daily rate × 365 ÷ 12. These are benchmark figures: each place sets its own prices. “—”: the survey does not publish that figure for the state.
How to read these numbers
A median is the middle value: half of the places charge less and the other half charge more. Within the same state, prices change with the city, the type of room and how much help the person needs. Use these numbers to plan and compare, and always ask each place for its price in writing, with what it includes and what costs extra.
If your loved one can stay at home with help, also compare with our home care cost calculator, which adds employer taxes if you hire the caregiver directly.
